Away on Business Trip

May goodness time really flies! I'm on the road for almost One Month now, away for business. China's Olympic is the Best Ever & Greatest event held for the century but nevertheless got caught in the process, all those temporary hassle in Airport, but transportation services improved :-). All those meetings, factory visits, entertainment & etc... it really drain my energy away. Still like the challenges though coz without it, life seems to be at a stand still, but I seriously have to think about retiring early but life isn't the way it seems? :-O .... should spend some time to re-think about .......? Probably spend time with some close acquaintances.........if they are available.......... Anyway it is good that I'm able let myself on a week's paid vacation/leave after I return. I'll fly endlessly on my favourite heli & plane for first two days (non-stop). Then probably fly to K.K. Sabah for an adventurous camping or may be scuba diving :-) .......................................... or may be spend some time blogging.

CAP232-15S

CAP232-15S
Powered by: SAITO 30 Four Stroke Engine
Fuel: 30% Nitro Cool Power
Servos: 5 units - Futaba Digital Servo [S9650]
Battery: 2150mAh - Ni-Cad
Receiver: JR 7 Channel PCM [JRPR790] 72Mhz
Switch: JR Antenna: DEANS

Description: It's actually an electric aeroplane size 15. But I converted it into a GLOW engine plane by adding modified Engine Mount & Fuel Tank. The Landing skids had been re-inforced with 'Balsa' wood to strengthened it (Saito 30 is bit heavy)(design for brushless motor - lighter as compared to glow engine).

The CAP232 is actually 'Over-Powered', the 'Throttle' curve have to be set until 50% Full Throttle, instead of 100% Linear curve.
[This setting chosen coz during 'Maiden' almost crashed it (High Speed Stall), manage it due to fact @ High Altitude]

Very Maneuvarable & stable BUT not in windy conditions (below 15mph).

HeliArtist Airwolf & Agusta A109A fuselage

Just received HeliArtist Fiberglass Fuselages (450), notably - Airwolf & Agusta A109A with Retracts System. I'm currently busy with two projects on hand Namely Airwolf50 Size fuselage from 'Funkey' with Miniature Aircraft's RAZOR50 Electric & World Model's Electric Jet.

MA Airwolf50 'Funkey' Fuselage Project

This is RAZOR50 with modifications to the GEAR Ratio using Custom made CNC pulley. Tail gear position was also reverse from 'left' to 'right' position. Almost near 50 3D Flight Test was carried out to ensure that the modification passed 'QC'. Confident to note that 'Failure Free' & all TEST Flight very successful.

Close-up of Modification.

Out from the BOX. 'Funkey' Finishing is 'Thumbs-Up'. No qualms about is quality of Fiberglass or paint work. Excellent! It also comes with a detail manual. Recommended Heli Kits are Hirobo Sceadu50 or Thunder Tiger Raptor50. Electric simplified without major modifications shall be T-Rex600Elec (But Quality Issues). That's why MA Razor50 Electric was chosen. Been a MA Heli pilot for 5 years (Will show you the Fleet of Excels later in my Hanger).

These Airwolf is almost complete about 75%. Items still required is Duralite Flight power Li-Po Voltage Regulator, Switch & Li-Po 2100mAh Battery pack. The Retract Servos (3units) required alignment of servo horns & retract positions. Arrange -fit all cables/wires
cables neatly. The DEANS CNC antenna need to be shouldered to FUTABA receiver (Range check). Note: Is any flyers were to choose RAZOR50, the CF battery plates & it's CNC support need to be removed before fitting Kit into fuselage.

The Airwolf has a lighting system install. Top Rotary & Tail boom (bottom) Rotary, fitted with modified 'Strobe light', side fuselage 'RED & Green' LEDs, individual retract landing lights & REAR 'Green' LED. They are powered-up with a 2100 mAh Ni-Cad (AA size) with switch (might consider later replacing them with 'AAA' size, to reduce weight).

Hope that I may finish soon. Maiden flight will be recorded & posted later.

Helicopter Scale Fuselages, I would definitely recommend Electric Configuration as during Flights, by piloting it, accompanied by Brushless Motor's - 'Sound effect', seemingly REALISTIC as close to 90% of a TURBINE. It's CLEAN too, need not clear all the NITRO residues on fuselage/heli.

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, residence is located AROUND mine. Proud to have Tun in the neighbourhood. Coz spotted him driving his Porsche Cayenne. He was also driving his Porsche Cayenne during his visit to MACH II Carnival in Bukit Kiara - Remote Control (about 2-3 years ago).
